Well I'm safely back in Canada after my short stint overseas! And, I know this might startle you, but I've gone straight from the culture of Europe and Asia to Hamilton, yes, Hamilton, Ontario.

The Tim Horton's chain was founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario, right where I’m standing! A renovation or two has certainly been done here, but it’s where the legendary chain first began!

Dubai

Here I am in Dubai! I was here actually a year ago, and my owner is way lazy and can't seem to post more than once every 6 months... tsk.

We went on a waterway tour - which wasn't really thrilling, but was nice.

Then we saw the Burj Khalifa, but couldn't go up because the elevators were acting sketchy. Poor tourists. It's insane though, this building. Your mind (especially my lamb mind) can't comprehend its size.

Then we went to the Burj Al Arab, but didn't o in because we're peasants.

Then we went to ATLANTIS! Except didn't stay here because we're peasants. But it's beautiful!

ANYWAY, Dubai is weird. It's not really READY for the tourist traffic that it receives. I can see coming here for a vacation and spending thousands and thousands of dollars on overpriced tourist activities... but I'd rather not. If you have the opportunity to stop in, by all means do that, but don't go out of your way.

At the Temple

In India, we went to the temple. The kind lady who carries me around took me out to take this picture and a woman who was asking the tourists for money, nourishment, everything, dropped what she was doing and really really wanted to take ME home with her. She forgot all about the money, nourishment, everything else that she was in need of and all she wanted was me. My tour guide was not as receptive to that, and it was an awkward and little bit startling of an experience.

Also? I had to take my shoes off. Bleh. These white lamb feet were not happy.

I also went to Auroville, and was terrified, and we saw crocodiles galore, and I was terrified.

Building in India

Silly me. In my last post I forgot to mention that I'm here building a house. Now, this is my second trip with Habitat for Humanity. The first one was to Maui and I wore my very own hawaiian shirt! I didn't have anything to wear here. We actually worked on FOUR houses!

I just moved sand, mainly. And played with the goats. They wouldn't really allow me to do much else. BUT, I am a good lamb and volunteered. And look how clean I stayed!

And I also made a friend or two...

Check me out! I'm in Pondicherry! Which "speaks French," although I couldn't understand any of it. Not a huge tourist destination, so my pale little body was looked upon strangely a number of times. Really strangely.

Urubamba Valley

The Urubamba (or "Sacred") Valley in Peru. Also, the MARKET! Except it sold lamb, so I kept my distance. And, after a hard day's work of keeping your distance, I needed to kick back with some Inca Cola, made only in Peru. That brings me to the end of Peru! See you in the next country!

Lake Titicaca

Yeah, ok, so this is the biggest lake in South America, but why is it named TITICACA?! Anyone else see extreme problems with that?! Anyway, there are 42 or so floating islands on this lake and people live there. The only thing preventing them from drifting away is an ANCHOR. They're like this because they can be moved if a threat arises. MOVE THE ISLAND?! That's just crazy talk. And/or what J.J.Abrams thinks of in his sleep. I'm on a boat! Where's my mobile device to checkin and get the "I'm on a boat" badge?!

Laos Bear Sanctuary

I've been many places, but Laos is one of the poorest countries in the world. It's an interesting place to be and is abundant in wildlife. But the bears are in danger! Free the bears! This sanctuary is for bears that are constantly in danger of being extinct because of hunting and habitat loss. I didn't get eaten, thankfully. I'm in the middle between two of the black bears.

Alright, so we went to Parliament, as you well know. I passed through the metal detectors undetected, despite the rod in my back and the piece of train track embedded in my foot I managed to make it ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP OF THE TOWER *heave heave gasp puke*, looked around a bit, stifled my vertigo, gave in to my vertigo, and came back down, into the library. What's amazing is that this library is the only thing from the original parliament building. When the buildings were burning in 1916 (or thereabouts), someone closed the doors on their way out. Because they closed the doors, the library was fine. Sturdy doors...

Wow, I wish it was really called Otterwa. How great would that be? A whole city of Otters?! Alas, here I am on my way to Ottawa, Canada's ridiculously clean, extraordinarily open and incredibly bilingual capital. The plane ride was interesting. My tray table was locked and my chair was in the upright position. They show you how to use a seatbelt in case you haven't been in a car since 1965 (Thanks, Jerry Seinfeld).Then I did some reading. A little reading of my favourite - the Canadian passport - followed by some stimulating "Psychology Today." We hit some turbulence and I ended up revisiting my lunch, then we hit some more turbulence and all of a sudden I was sitting in it. I need a shower.

Hamburgers, not Lamburgers (in Palm Springs)

Alright, so first off, hamburgers are so much better for you *ahem* than lamburgers. Let's just make sure we clear that up. Secondly, regardless of how awkward and annoying the ketchup bottle is (thanks a lot, Heinz), always make sure you liberally apply ketchup to your burger. Hydration is always important, and ESPECIALLY when you're in a hot place. Try to drink your body weight in water as often as possible... and if you can have a screen held up behind you (or creased napkin) to "professionalize" your photoshoot at any time, please, by all means, do exactly that.

I got to spend some time hanging out in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. Yee Haw. These pictures were taken over Easter (yes, headquarters is a little behind on the blogging...) so don't mind the icy lake! I couldn't bare to think of getting on those waterslides and plunging into the icy death of Sylvan Lake. At least all the bacteria in there would be frozen and not reproducing like mad, as it does in the summer. I went to the firehall. I wanted to see if there were some FireWOMEN there who would like the blazing hot evening company of a certain well known lam... oh, have I said too much? And if you ever hear people saying that nobody wears seatbelts when they are in small towns, THINK AGAIN!

From one amusement park to another. I must say the ladies here are VERY pretty! It's a family place though, so I'm not going to say any more about that. Some of the characters are terrifying as well! They could eat me up in one bite, no questions asked. Good thing my charming personality prevented that from happening. Some of them also handled me VERY gently, like the fragile being I am.

Dating back to 1997, here, in all its glory, is the NY NY Hotel and Casino in Vegas. This almost looks like LEGO buildings when compared to the REAL buildings in NYC. This roller coaster made me almost puke my little stuffing out, but I managed to get away with throwing up just a bit in my mouth and swallowing it. You'll notice I'm being extremely elevated in all of these pictures by a strange, disembodied hand... I'm still not sure how I feel about that.

Maui is GREAT! Not only am I feeding my daiquiri addiction (I think I'm bordering on an intervention), but I'm eating LOTS of Hawaiian food! These Macadamias are exquisite!! The salt really only aggravates my bloating though.

Well, I'm back in Canada! As a special treat for my loyal readers, check out my sweet body soaking up a tan on the Ontario beaches!! Four of the five great lakes are in Ontario, as well as Niagara Falls and the beginning of the St. Lawrence Seaway! My beautiful blonde companion neglected to tote me to Toronto, so I didn't get to see the CN Tower, standing at 1,815 feet tall. Of course, she was caring enough to protect my eyes from harmful ultraviolet rays, so I have to give her some credit :) Alas, there's always next time.

This family I am staying with in Abilene is WONDERFUL! Before leaving the house, they made sure that I had a full belly!! And then we went on a ROAD TRIP! Look at how desolate the roads are in Texas!! There's so much wide open space! More road trip pics to come. I wonder how I will ever return to crowded city living after this!!

So, here in Abilene, I have gotten to know Molly quite well. We have had some laughs... and some naps and we have basically become very good friends. She's teaching me how to actually walk on four legs instead of just relying on my humanservants to carry me. It's a learning curve, but I'm willing to try!

I think in all honesty, I’m trying to spend some time dealing with the fact that I was smashing pennies on the tracks in California when the train came. Narrow escape there!

Well, I use the term "action" loosely there, because I have been sitting in bed since August, basically. I'm refreshed and have just landed safely in Abilene, for a brief stay before moving on. Abilene is crazy these days, and, frankly, too cold!!! I'm moving on to somewhere tro-pi-caaal afterwards. Stay Tuned...

This is from that same camping trip in California. We're camping at Carpinteria, which I'm not sure if I mentioned before or not. I saw a whole bunch of seagulls, and am glad they didn't swoop down and take me away! For dinner we went to The Spot for burgers. MMMMMMM. If you're ever in the area, check them out!

Alright, being white and all, I'm not a huge camper. But MAN! These people can PARRRRRTY! First I had the tough, ever-present "Swim-Surf" decision. I settled on the "bask in the sun" option. Ever notice how much cooler you stay when your feet are wet? Delirious and heat stricken, (I don't even remember this) I felt the need to try and smash some pennies on the tracks. Rumour has it I made a narrow escape and we never even found the pennies I was smashing. When I regained consciousness, we moseyed back to the campsite where I roasted my first marshmallow and then promptly went to bed!

Well, while China was a blast, it's nice to be back somewhere where I can actually SEE the blue sky, and not just the deadly smog over in Asia. I've been so busy lately! I went to throw the first "celebrity" pitch at an Angels game, simply because I'm so highly sought after. Then I welcomed Citizen Tai to the lovely U.S. of A as an official citizen. I started the party up with a few brewski's and then a little bit of mixing on the box.

At a working Buddhist temple in Hangzhou. No, I didn't bow to any statues...although I DID make quite a scene when I didn't want to have my knees and shoulders covered. Taking a rest on a hand-knotted rug in the Shanghai Rug Factory At the "Bund" (which apparently means "bend in the river). That phallic structure behind me is a TV tower. Having er...being...lunch at Yo' Garden. ..........This just in. It's "YU Garden", clearly not Yo' Garden....

And with that to conclude my China trip, I'm on my way back to Anaheim, California for a bit before Texas!

A sewn on mouth allows little for enunciation in ENGLISH and FRENCH, let alone Chinese, so I apologize for my accent. Perhaps that's why I'm so charismatic only on paper.

This is at the Jade factory. PLEASE TAKE NOTE THOSE ARE NOT PIG FETUSES as I had originally thought, but rather small ponies scuplted from Jade. The Summer Palace/Garden. Ooooooooo at the lovers across the pond!!!!!! Tinanmen Square. What's with all the smog in China?! That's why everyone is so little! They're bred that way so they can walk under the smog and not have to inhale it! I sent my owner a postcard from here!

LongQing Xia Gorge

Well, as if my legs weren't tired ENOUGH, we just casually visited the Longqing Xia Gorge, which is even MORE walking! Look at how gloomy the sky was though! Boo! Longqing Gorge covers an area of 119 square kilometers. Within the gorge is the largest dam in northern China, more than 70 meters high. The dam has created a lake behind it that provides a man-made waterfall during the wetter summer months. Then we sit down to dinner and I can't decide which of these utensils to use! I thought people only used CHOPSTICKS in China! I was reprimanded when I tried to cut my steak with the one third from the left.

Oh my lucky lamb stars! I'm at the Great Wall of China! A little history for you: The great wall runs 6,700 kilometers (4,163 miles ) from east to west of China. With a history of more than 2000 years, some of the sections of the great wall are now in ruins or even entirely disappeared. My little lamb legs almost crapped out on me.

*burp* This Californian crowd simply doesn't stop *hic*. Here I am cooling down with some *urp* cocktails (and my new friend, the spring themed throw pillow). It appears the *hic* custom in Anaheim is to drink using your *hic* neck. The ride here was short and slightly *uurrrrrrrrrrp* bumpy. I requested to be sent in a box, but when I got to the uh..."airport," all they had was a bubble envelope. It was pretty cramped, but I took a deep breath before going in, so it all worked out!

Alright, after 2 months in Thailand, 2 months in New Zealand and 2 months in Australier with shorter stays in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia and San Francisco, I'm back home! It was a little crowded in my mom's bed last night with her OTHER companion (*eye roll*). I'm travelling to Anaheim, California this week! I'm dissapointed that I'm not going to be here for adventures at the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede, but there's always next year! What I have lined up is just as (if not more) exciting! Stay tuned!
